Once again, quite chilly 😀 – it was dry weather though, which was nice.

What I did yesterday/today

Sat:  Kay arrived at the B&B at around 08:45. I moved my car and parked it at the Bideford Football Ground (£2.50 for 24 hours, Steve had explained the parking process, e.g. how to pay). Kay parked her car and we had breakfast. We had a walk around Bideford and visited Ian Snow’s shop. After an hour or so in Bideford we drove past the Pier House at the far end of Westward Ho! We parked up and had a little stroll. Driving back into the village we parked at the main car park, I bought some Gaviscon chewables at the Pharmacy and we had lunch at the Rock Pool Café. After lunch we drove back to the B&B and had a rest before heading off to Barnstaple for pre-cinema meal at Giovanni’s. I had two bottles of Birra Moretti some bread and butter and oils and olives. My main was chicken alla Calabrese with sautéed potatoes and vegetable. The chicken was in a spicy Nduja bean sauce, which was nice. I had affogato for dessert. Giovanni’s did not have a modern payment system. They used a traditional pencil and notepad to take the order. They did have a printed receipt and a contactless machine. We gave a cash tip. We then went to the cinema (Scott’s Cinema) to see “A Complete Unknown”.

We got back to the B&B at about 11:15. We had a good night’s sleep.

I have started my preparations for Gainesville. I will be doing the 6K cross country at WMACi and then finish the week by doing the Gainesville parkrun. I have booked my USA accommodation for the stay. I have booked my flights. I have booked a single trip travel insurance policy. I have renewed my ESTA. I have renewed my WMAL-047 membership. I am paid up for BMMS

Sat - 01/03/25

 I took my medications at 08:00am. I ran down to do parkrun with a C25K week 6 run programmed into Garmin. I ran with it but didn’t follow it. I did my own thing. My cool down took me to ASDA where I did a small shop. Small yes, but I needed two bags to carry my £26.43p worth of goods. There were no Facebook Birthdays today. William has got the nod to go to hospital for his operation. I went to Rhiwderin to get my car. I got the 4pm number 50 to Caerphilly. I have started watching Man City v Plymouth Argyle. I tried to move some money around but I was told that I had hit the limit. Obviously days when the banks are closed do not count. I did several Duolingo lessons and I completed my daily blog. I wrote a note to various people to explain what has been happening (Note to Ian McCrory, Dave Westley, Maxine Rhodes, Louise Nicholas).

Wed - 26/02/25

 I picked up the car, it was parked on Lower Dock Street. I brought it back to the Village and stowed a few bags of gear in the boot. I drove it to Rhiwderin and parked on Zoe & Paul's drive. I got the 9am bus back and got off at Belle Vue Park. I walked up the audiology and picked up some hearing aid batteries. I made a curry today and had curry with a mini naan bread. Also! I sold my house and got the money I moved it quickly into NATSV. I moved some to Marcus too. I went for a short swim in te afternoon (about 20 minutes).
